1. What You're Renting

When you book with Fresh Totes, you're renting a set of heavy-duty XL plastic moving bins (27"×17"×12") with attached lids. Each rental includes delivery to your door, pickup from your new location, a Move Ready Kit in the top bin, and text-based updates throughout.

Your rental period runs from confirmed delivery date to your agreed pickup date. Extensions are available at the weekly rate for your package size.

2. Pricing & Payment

Your full rental fee is charged at time of booking. All prices are in Canadian dollars and include GST. Your payment card is stored securely via Stripe for the duration of your rental.

We will always contact you before charging anything beyond your original booking amount. No exceptions.

We accept Visa and Mastercard.

3. Cancellation & Changes

  • Cancel 24+ hours before delivery: full refund, no questions asked
  • Cancel less than 24 hours before delivery: 20% charge (your order is already loaded and ready)
  • Reschedule anytime: free, just text us your new date
  • Return bins early: no penalty, we'll come collect them

4. Stuff Happens — Additional Fees

Normal wear and tear is always on us — scuffs, scratches, a mark from a heavy box. The fees below only apply when a bin genuinely can't go back out to the next customer. We'll always reach out and have a conversation before anything extra is charged.

What can and can't go in your bins

Our bins are built for household moves. Here's a quick guide:

  • 🚫 Chemicals, cleaning concentrates, flammable or hazardous materials

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Don't use bins for wet, hazardous, or chemical materials — they're for household goods
  • Keep bins indoors or under cover where possible
  • Don't stack more than 6 bins high when full
  • Let us know if your pickup address changes from the delivery address
  • Ensure bins are accessible on your agreed pickup date

6. Delivery & Pickup

  • Free delivery within Edmonton city limits. Surrounding areas available for a small fee quoted at checkout
  • You'll receive a confirmation text immediately, a reminder the evening before, and a 30-minute heads-up on delivery day
  • If no one is home at delivery, bins will be left in a safe spot with a photo confirmation
  • For pickup, please have bins stacked and accessible. Inaccessible bins may require rescheduling

7. Referral Program

  • Referral rewards are paid after your friend's rental is fully completed — not just booked
  • Friend must be a new Fresh Totes customer (same address, phone, or card as existing customer does not qualify)
  • $15 friend discount applies to orders of $95 or more
  • E-transfer sent within 48 hours of pickup confirmation
  • Fresh Totes reserves the right to void rewards in cases of fraud or abuse
  • No expiry on earned rewards

8. Privacy

We collect your name, phone number, delivery address, and payment information for the purpose of fulfilling your rental. We do not sell your data to third parties. Your payment information is processed and stored securely by Stripe. We may contact you via text or email about your booking, pickup, and referral rewards.

By booking with Fresh Totes you consent to receiving text messages related to your rental. You can opt out at any time by texting STOP.

9. Liability

Fresh Totes is responsible for delivering clean, functional, safe bins. If a bin we deliver is defective or damaged in a way that causes harm, we'll make it right immediately.

Fresh Totes is not liable for damage to items packed inside the bins, or for injuries resulting from improper stacking or use beyond the bins' intended purpose.

We're a small Edmonton business and we genuinely care about every customer. If something goes wrong on either side, text us and we'll sort it out.

10. Agreement

By completing your booking with Fresh Totes, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, that the information you provided is accurate, and that you have read and understood these terms.

How do I book?

Just hit "Book Now" from anywhere on the site. Pick your package size, choose a date and time window, add any extras you need, and check out. Takes about 60 seconds. You'll get a confirmation text immediately.
How far in advance do I need to book?

Ideally 3–5 days ahead, especially in peak moving season (May–September). We also offer same-day rush delivery for +$35 if we have availability. Check the calendar when booking — available dates are shown in real time.
Do you deliver outside Edmonton?

Yes! We deliver free within Edmonton city limits. St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Leduc, and surrounding communities are available for a small delivery fee shown at checkout.
What if I need to reschedule?

Just text us. Rescheduling is always free. We're flexible — we know move dates can change. Give us as much notice as possible and we'll sort it out.

How big are the bins exactly?

Our XL bins are 27"×17"×12" (external dimensions). That's about 2.5 cubic feet of space — roughly 3 times the capacity of a standard medium cardboard moving box. They fit perfectly in moving trucks, SUVs, and elevators.
Are the bins clean?

Every single time. We sanitize all bins between every rental. They're inspected, cleaned, and stacked fresh before delivery. We take this seriously — it's one of our core promises.
How much weight can they hold?

Up to 70 lbs per bin, and they stack up to 6 high when full. The lids are attached so nothing falls out in transit — no taping, no fussing.
What's in the Move Ready Kit?

Inside your top bin you'll find colour-coded room labels, markers, a moving checklist, a roll of tape, and our fridge magnet with our direct number. It's a small thing but customers love it — we put it together because moving day is hectic enough.

Fees & Charges

What if a bin gets cracked or damaged?

Scuffs, marks, a scratched corner — that's just a moved bin and it's always on us. The only time a fee applies is if a bin comes back in a condition where we genuinely can't rent it to the next customer — structural damage, or something like paint or chemicals that can't be cleaned out. In that case we charge the $35 replacement cost. We'll always send you a photo and talk it through before anything is charged.
Will you charge my card without telling me?

Never. Our promise is that we will always contact you — by text or phone — before processing any charge beyond your original booking amount. We keep your card on file for the rental period but it's a safeguard, not a gotcha.
What if I need the bins for longer than planned?

Just text us before your pickup date and we'll extend your rental. Extensions are $45 (Studio), $65 (Standard), or $85 (Family) per additional week. We'll update your booking and charge the difference. Easy.

When do I get my referral reward?
